Who is the program for?

Abandoned girls and women aged 15 to 24 in Rwanda, starting in Gasabo District, Kigali.

How long does the program last?

Six months of training in tailoring, digital skills and entrepreneurship, followed by continued support after graduation.

Question 3

Do trainees pay for the training?

Training is free or heavily subsidised for the young women we serve. Sales of the products we make help cover the cost.

Question 4

What does Learn-and-Earn mean?

Trainees work on paid orders from real clients, such as schools, companies and individuals, from the start of their training. They gain experience and earn an income while they learn.

What happens after graduation?

Our Zero Abandonment promise means support continues: help to start a business or cooperative, mentorship from professionals and alumni, and continued learning on the Zanda Digital Platform.

Can my school or company order uniforms?

Yes. We make school uniforms, corporate uniforms and bags to order. Contact us or book a consultation, and we will agree designs, quantities, prices and delivery dates with you.

How can I support Zanda?

You can donate, buy products made in our workshop, order uniforms for your school or company, become a partner or volunteer your skills as a mentor.

Who makes the bags?

Young women in our Learn-and-Earn programme in Kigali. Every bag is cut, sewn and checked in our workshop.

Where do you deliver?

Across Kigali within two days and across Rwanda within a week. International orders are on request.

Lumina for everyday totes, Kamo for work and school backpacks and laptop bags, and MwanaGo for children.
